Thanks to deadlines that I hadn't met and a very crammed schedule over the weekend, I was awake until 4:30am this morning, and then I officially got out of bed at 6:30am. I hit a wall mid-day and thought I might fall asleep standing up, but somehow I was able to pull it together enough to go for a run this morning. And it was one of the best, most feel-good runs I've had in a while. Maybe I was channeling Tzenaki, who would stay up all night dancing and laughing with parea, and then go for a run at 5.30am and catch the sunrise.
I did not run that early today, just FYI. But nevertheless, it was a beautiful day. Nothing hurt. I ran farther than I expected. The trail--today I ran the East Bay Bike Path--shimmered in light. And I mayyyy have been listening to a certain Greek song on repeat, trying to decipher the lyrics. About pastitsio. Maybe you know the one?
Anyhow. It was lovely, and then I had a great breakfast with Greg as we talked about Intercessory Prayer. So, that was also joyful.
And now, friends, slumber is calling me.
