hi there.

Welcome to my blog. I'm spending a year capturing happiness, and I invite you to come along as I journey toward a more joyful living. I also write about travel, food, and matters of the spirit. Hope you enjoy!

Kleos

Kleos

The time has finally come! Kleos, the new Greek restaurant in Rhode Island, has OFFICIALLY OPENED.

These poor owners. I've been harassing them on Facebook since the moment my friend first told me it was a dream on the horizon, well before Christmas. I've been pestering them because I wanted to write an article for the magazine...first they were planning to open in "Spring," which was end of April, well, early May, okay, not till June, no definitely July 10th, and now--officially--July 17th!

Was it worth the wait?

The food was great. Will it ever compare to Greece? No, nothing can. Maybe New York is close. This is more of a fusion. But it was the best I've seen Rhode Island do, and the olive oil is amazing. It's imported from the family's village back in Greece. I will certainly come again.

We were actually full after the Meze platter.

Most accurate Horiatiki I've had stateside. It's floating in olive oil! FTW.

I'm sparing you photos of the other drinks and dessert we had. And by "sparing you," I mean I'm keeping myself from exploding. I can't even look, it's too much. But for the record: I am happy we have a new Greek option here in Providence.
