I made it to San Fran! And I feel like this is the beginning of the end of Joyful. I'm already so exhausted, but to be fair, I have been awake for nearly 24 hours now...
My joyful moment was writing this blog on the airplane because FREE ON BOARD WIFI. (Follow the blog link to have a more thorough account of my life).
Also, I'm thankful for traveling mercies, a wonderfully smooth trip, and getting to see my hometown friend, Sarah, who showed me the highlights of San Fran in a handful of hours.
And so the trip has officially begun!
Stretching my conversation muscles for the adventure that begins tomorrow: I talked to the person beside me on the Silver Line to the airport (a Scottish woman who teaches in RI and was going to Copenhagen to visit a significant other, having reconnected 20 years after their first encounter); the woman beside me on the airplane (a California native who was leaving her NJ trip a day early to attend the funeral of a friend who had lost the battle to cancer); the girl who shared an uber with me to Sarah's house (a Connecticut native living in San Antonio, visiting San Fran for the first time to attend a My Little Pony conference).
And to think, this is only the beginning!
