1. I worked from home today, which meant pajamas all day long. THIS IS THE BEST.
2. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. My friend loaned me these books, via Sheri, and Sheri encouraged me to start rereading them by telling me they're simple to read. I was making excuses because I'm currently reading an unknown number of books at once, maybe five, and she talked sense into me. "They're such easy reads. It won't take you long."
I also took her advice and am reading them in publishing order, rather than technical chronological order.
I AM SO SO SO HAPPY. All I want to do is sit in pajamas all day and sip hot chocolate and read these books (which I succeeded at during lunch time, but not **all day**)
3. Writing group, big surprise. I was feeling disappointed/discouraged because half of the group couldn't make it--and that's not an exaggeration: literally half of the group. I was afraid it would be hard to have a discussion with so few people, but as always, my Tuesday Tipplers made me proud. We had great discussion, and it was a lovely night. I even got to talk about how much I love the Bible (I'm a nerd of a particular kind) and how great an author God is. (This half of the group allowed such a conversation to take place without anyone feeling weird or left out, so that was perfect.)
Tomorrow it's back to real clothes, but...I still get a few more hours in fleece, falling asleep to the sound of rain. Ahhhh :)
PS. the Instagram conversation I had between Sheri and Burgundian Waffles was high on my list today, too. #waffleywedded is the hashtag Sheri created and that I have asked to use as my wedding hashtag. The owner of Burgundian has agreed to teach "the One" (both mine and Sheri's) how to make waffles, but in order to find Mr. Right, Sheri and I are going to create waffle T-Shirts ("Paint me like one of your waffles") and serve these blessed creations at one of the next pop-up locations.
RHODE ISLAND, PREPARE YOURSELF.
