The title makes me think of Shoeless Joe, though there is no similarity beyond [something]-“less” [something], and the total number of syllables.
(I think that’s telling of how my brain works and should probably be analyzed.)
Basically, I went for a run this morning on the East Bay Bike Trail...it was one of those days instead of a Blackstone Boulevard day. The sky was overcast and my earphones were in my car, uncharged from yesterday, so there was no reason to bring my phone. I just ran, and spent some quality time with the BGU. (Big Guy Upstairs). We had a great chat, and I felt refreshed, ready to start my day.
Also, the fact that I made 55+ phone calls for work despite having the urge to cough every ten seconds was really exceptional. **trying not to get sick**
Fun/weird fact: I have a five-year journal, and for four of the last five years, I have gotten sick THIS VERY SAME WEEK. Isn’t that crazy?? Two years in a row I woke up with a sore throat on the exact same day (November 4th).
I’m clearly losing steam here for this blog entry, so I’m going to go. I sent two texts today that made my friends do a literal LOL, and that felt like quite an accomplishment. It gives me pleasure to bring them delight!
Even if it is, technically, at my expense. No matter.
