At the very end of August, I believe I mentioned that Andrew told us a story at discipleship class about his friend who prays for his children for five minutes a day. He made such a compelling case--without intending to--for praying for one person every day that all of us in the group instinctively chose a person (or persons) to pray for every day for five minutes.
For the record, I'm still doing this. But that's not where I'm going with it.
Today I had a phone date with one of my dearest, longest-standing friends. The last time we had a phone date, I was filling her in on the 5-minutes-a-day thing, really passionately talking about it, I suppose, enough so that she decided to undergo this prayer tactic without my knowledge.
She filled me in on the effects she's already seen since starting this, and I think that is SO SO amazing! happy happy happy happy
I just love how the unintentional seed of five-minute prayer has been planted and is growing across the country as we speak.
