A couple of weeks ago I met with my language partner from South Korea and we decided—since we both love food—that our next outing would be to dinner.
She faithfully helped me perform “research” for a magazine article over my favorite restaurant in RI that has recently moved locations, and then we decided to pop into the Dorrance to say hi to my friend Jen and have a drink with Nick the bartender (also my friend).
Funny note: I just realized our waiter at North was also named Nick
Anyway, earlier this summer when I had a Canadian couch surfer staying with me, we visited Nick, and the couch surfer didn’t drink alcohol so he made her a mocktail. I remember it being so good that I promised myself it would be my drink next time.
Enter: next time.
I ordered it (it has no name) and it was so delicious! Jisoo and I were at the pleasantly full stage of the night sharing cocktails in the place where I first learned about Writing Workshops in Greece, and she told me stories about visiting Scottish pubs in Paris, and it was the most fun part of the night.
ALSO! I updated my iPhone to fix the previous update that messed up the letter “I” (into an “A?”) so now I can type again without my messages looking ridiculous!
Kalo Savvatokiriako! (Have a good weeekend!)
