The first time I used “submitted” as my Joyful moment, I had finally sent in my Fulbright application. That was definitely cause for celebration: two months and a thousand drafts later. Today’s moment, however, was due to the fact that after five sleepless nights (including last night, in which I went to bed after midnight and was in my office at 6:15am to use my office computer), THE DREAM JOB APPLICATION IS IN!
I can rest now! (Well, theoretically. I ended up writing a Fushilou blog—in which you can read my application—and now it’s midnight again.)
The second Joyful moment was that my Global Scavenger Hunt partner, Mark, is off to Antarctica again, and he sent out an email this morning. Among the attached photos was one of his specially crafted Antarctica stickers, much like our Team Thundersnow stickers. I sent him a note complimenting them.
Then I came home to find a letter in the mail. Before he left the country, he wrote me a note and INCLUDED STICKERS!!!!
I don’t know why, but stickers are always cause for jubilation.
