Pumpkin Whoopie Pie
I was able to visit my friend Sarah in Warren for a late dinner, and she surprised me with a treat she bought from The Beehive Pantry, a cute shop in Bristol: Pumpkin Whoopie Pies with Maple Cream.
It was as diabetically good as it sounds.
I also made pumpkin hummus (round 2!), and I remembered to take a picture before we ate it. Not that I made it look any more appetizing than before, but I was still proud of myself.
More than that, of course, it was great catching up with Sarah. I filled her in on the NYT opportunity, and as my research today uncovered: within 48 hours, they'd already received 3,100 applicants.
This removes some of the pressure I initially felt. When someone goes from thinking, "I have a chance!" to "I have 1/10,000 chance," I feel freed up to use things like, "unicorn who has it all" under my list of skills. (They said that's what they're looking for!)
I finally finished my Motif article, here at 1:30am, which is also a joy because now I get to go to bed!
Tomorrow: I write.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
